Craggy Island is my home wall and where I train most. The location in Guildford is great – about 15 minutes away from my home – but the bouldering, routes and coaches at Craggy have helped me get really strong and improve my technique. I wouldn’t be anywhere near as strong if I didn’t climb at Craggy but I also wouldn’t have anywhere near as much fun!
I tried out at the Craggy Team selection day in 2013 and I can still remember asking dad every day after school if Danie (Rushmer) had emailed to say whether I was in or not!
The Craggy Island Youth Team had already had some great results with Matilda Collins and Miles Graham making the podium in the Nationals and Matilda went on to win the Nationals in 2014!
I was looking forward to joining one of the best teams in the country and am proud of the success the Craggy Island Youth Team has had and the fun we have had along the way 🙂
